How to become a Volunteer at
Epsom Central School
Before serving as a regular volunteer in the classroom or on a fieldtrip, all volunteers must complete an annual Criminal Background Check in accordance with New Hampshire State Law. The fingerprinting portion MUST be completed prior to the volunteer helping at our school or attending a field trip.
Steps to Proceed:
1. Notify either Principal Mr. Connors 736-9331 ext. 232, or Assistant Principal Mr. Beaverstock 736-9331 ext 234 regarding your desire to be a volunteer.
2. After notifying the school administration, have criminal records release filled out and notorized. Schedule an appointment with the Department of Safety, Division of State Police by calling (603) 271-2538. Ask to be scheduled for volunteer fingerprinting.
3. Be sure to bring with you to your appointment
- Photo Identification (i.e., Passport, Drivers License, or State ID).
- Completed Criminal Record Release Authorization Form (Click this link to access the form. Please print, complete and bring to your appointment,) The form can also be obtained at the SAU Office. The is no fee for notorizing at the SAU Office.
- Payment by Check, Money Order or Credit Card (NO CASH) for $35.25 for volunteer background check.*
* Please keep your receipt of payment from the Department of Safety as proof of fingerprinting and for reimbursement by Epsom Central School.
4. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Arrival of more than 10 minutes late will require you to reschedule another date and time. The process should take approximately 20 minutes.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-3:30 PM
5. Bring your receipt in to the Epsom Central School office and leave it with a school secretary for reimbursement of the fingerprinting fee.
